As Europe enters the second half of the 2009 season, AMSF International Rising Stars Molly Taylor and Daniel Erickson are looking to finish off their respective season campaigns in style.
Molly Taylor currently sits in second position in the race for the 2009 Suzuki Swift Sport Cup. Only fourteen points adrift of leader Gordon Nichol, Taylor believes she is a strong chance in the season ending Trackrod International Rally of Yorkshire.
“It all comes down to the final round in Yorkshire – whoever wins Trackrod wins the championship, it's time for maximum attack”, Taylor said.
Competing at the recent event in Ulster, Taylor wrapped up the 2009 MSA British Ladies Rally Champion title and cemented her place as the first overseas driver to have ever taken out the prestigious title.

“I am so happy and excited to take out the British Ladies Rally Champion title last weekend. It is a really big honour and I am really motivated to add the Swift Sport Cup to the title,” Taylor said.
After taking victory on the opening two gravel events of the Swift Sport Cup series, and with a previous outing on Rally Yorkshire (she competed in the event last year), Molly and co-driver Jemma Bellingham are hoping to add the Swift title to their list of achievements.
The final round of the Suzuki Swift Sport Cup is on September 26th at the Trackrod International Rally of Yorkshire.
Daniel Erickson has continued his solid form and is looking to have a strong finish to the 2009 MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain. Erickson has had a consistent season to date, frequently finishing in the top ten and culminating with his maiden victory at the recent round at Donington Park. Erickson was thrilled with the win; leading the entire race to win by a comfortable margin.
“I am so pleased to be able to secure pole position and the win (at Donington Park),” said an ecstatic Erickson after the race. “This is the best way I know to thank everyone who has supported me”, Erickson said.

The solid form of Erickson has been demonstrated with Pole positions at Donington Park and Silverstone, and qualifying in third position at his most recent outing at Brands Hatch.
“Being able to qualify up the top end of the field has been really good and has given me the opportunity to fight for vital points. I have got a lot of confidence out of racing with the frontrunners and look to take that into the rest of the season”, Erickson said.
With two rounds left in the Championship, Erickson sits in sixth position with 346 points. The MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain heads back to Brands Hatch for Rounds 22 and 23 on September 19 -20.
